Sarah wondered where a boy who couldn't afford a tricycle would live.  She answers with a muted, natural palette to engage our focus in the 'magic of life' that six-year-old Stephen shares with us.

Stephen's Magic Tricycle

A story by Jim Howell with illustrations by Sarah Philyaw

Take a story that you told your children years ago.  Next, add a first-class illustrator to give it the touch it needs to reach children on nearly every level.  Now, you have Stephen's Magic Tricycle.

Stephen's parent could not afford much in the way of toys.  One day, Stephen finds an old tricycle in the trash.  He decides he will fix it up and get something he's never had.

This is is Jim & Sarah's first collaboration
