Jim Howell, a retired deputy sheriff with over 33 years inside the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, shares his experiences in dramatic crime novels that bring the reader face to face with the gritty side of humanity.

Supervising more than 200 diverse crime scene investigations provided him with intimate knowledge  of criminal behavior and criminal investigations - qualities that he brings to life in three stories beginning with Copper Eyes.  The fourth story, Emerald Reflections is a stand alone romance novel.  

Jim has been married to his supportive wife for over 51 years and has been a writer for 28 of those years.
